April 9: FLO (FICCI Ladies Organization) has been an integral part of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) since 1983.
FICCI is the largest and oldest apex business organisation in India. Its history is closely interwoven with India’s struggle for independence, its industrialization, and its emergence as one of the most rapidly growing global economies. A non-government, not-for-profit organisation, FICCI is the voice of India’s business and industry reaching out to over 2,50,000 companies. It provides a platform for networking and consensus building within and across sectors and is the first port of call for Indian industry, policy makers and the international business community.
FLO is an all-India forum for women within FICCI with its headquarters in New Delhi. Over the past 38 years of operation, FLO has focussed on entrepreneurship and professional excellence among women through training and capacity building programs with the objective to encourage and facilitate young and competent women professionals to showcase their talents, skills and experiences across the different sectors.
FLO today represents over 8000 women entrepreneurs and professionals via 18 chapters in different regions of the country and has achieved significant impact by working at all three stages from grassroots, middle and senior levels providing assistance to women at every step of growth.
New Vadodara Chapter was launched by Mrs Jayanti Dalmia President FICCI FLO.
With over 18 chapters with pan India presence in cities like Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, etc. FICCI FLO is now launching in Vadodara to start a new inspiring journey to ensure success and evolution of women as professionals. Starting from 1 April 2022, FICCI FLO will have a presence in Vadodara, the Sanskari Nagri of Gujarat with the nomination of the Chairperson Reshma Patel, Sr.Vice chairperson Barkha Amin, Vice chairperson Avni Bhayani, Treasurer Rati Desai ,Secretary Avni Patel for Vadodara Chapter, following which key growth areas for women will be identified in tandem with the central Leadership, focusing on enhancing the power to empower the women of Vadodara.
