Shri Bijender Goel, President, Indian Delphic Council and Adviser for South Asian Affairs, International Delphic Council
Mumbai, August 17: Shri Bijender Goel, President, Indian Delphic Council and Adviser for South Asian Affairs, International Delphic Council, will be addressing the national media at Birla House Mumbai at the launch ceremony, as the Delphic Council of Maharashtra announces its Executive Board. He will jointly address the media with Shri Sahil Seth, IRS, President, Delphic Council of Maharashtra and some Bollywood celebrities supporting the Delphic movement.
Indian Delphic Council also announced the team of Mr Sahil Seth, IRS, President, State Delphic of Maharashtra.
Other than Mr. Sahil Seth, an IRS officer of the Rank of Joint Commissioner in the Department of Customs and GST,
Mr. Suresh Thomas, Managing Director of Crescendo Music, as Vice President.
Mr. Aparajeet ‘Avi’ Mittal, an Entrepreneur & Managing Partner Goldenace Ventures LLP, as the Secretary-General
Mr. Ali Akbar Sultan Ahmed, a film producer as treasurer
Ms. Pranitaa Pandit, an actress as Jt. Secretary-General
Mr. Sulaiman Merchant, Ms. Bina Aziz, Mr. Rajveer Kaushik, Mr. Vinay Aggarwal, Mr. Amit Kapoor, Ms. Amita Bhatt and Ms. Rachna Puri are appointed as Directors of the various art categories as members of the Executive Board.
The Delphic Games are the worldwide stage for the encounter of arts and cultures. They are regular organised by the IDC and guiding exceptional artists through the six Delphic Art Categories. The period between the games is called Delphiad.
Delphic Games are to Arts & Cultures what Olympic Games are to physical sports. The Delphic Games of the Modern Era were revived in 1994, while the Olympic Games were revived in 1894. India has participated in 3 editions of the Delphic Games in various Countries and even won gold and silver medals in South Korea and Malaysia. The Culture Ministry of the Government of India has participated in the process by sponsoring the artists to represent the Country through the Zonal Cultural Centres.
World leaders, including their Excellencies Nelson Mandela (South Africa), Mikhail Gorbachev (erstwhile the Soviet Union), Helmut Schmidt (East Germany), Eduard Shevardnadze (Georgia) and Celebrated Musicians, Painters, Academicians, Pedagogues, Historians, Arts & Culture revivalists, and the like, have supported the Delphic Games and what they stand for.
Since revival, the Delphic Games have been hosted in Georgia, Russia, Malaysia, South Korea, Philippines, Germany and South Africa, while Delphic Summits, Delphic Art Wall initiatives and other festivals of cultural significance have been organised elsewhere in the world. International Institutions like UNESCO, Council of Europe, ASEAN and such, have endorsed the various editions of the Delphic Games at various times
