India’s Youngest Data Scientist | Likhita’s Data Science Journey with DataTrained

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June 4: With rapidly growing economies and unprecedented advancements in technology, the gap of available job positions and required candidates to fill that gap is widening. The pace at which our institutions train upcoming graduates is not at par with the tech which is emerging. There’s an ever-growing demand for skilled candidates for positions that usually go vacant for a long period of time only because there’s no one skilled enough to fill that position.

However, as ironic as it may seem, in a world where employers are struggling to find the right fit, some kids are somehow ready to fill in their shoes. Just like Magnus Karlson for chess, Sachin Tendulkar for cricket, we DataTrained found our prodigy. This story is all about Likhitha, a child prodigy from Bangalore. An 11-year-old child who is comfortable with codes that grown-up shudders upon looking.

A child who assiduously worked on codes and created mobile apps on her own which seem totally infallible. At an age where today’s kids are tuned to Instagram dance videos, she got herself certified in app development, web design, and data science to name a few. Likhitha owns her own YouTube channel which she manages alone in her capacity.

Growing up as a daughter of a doctor and an engineer, she was comfortable with gadgets and was enthusiastic and curious to know more about them. Not just what they are, but also how they work. The curiosity didn’t end just there; she went deep into the programming and started learning how mobile apps are made.

Likhitha’s Journey with DataTrained started with a normal online query. Just like a lot of other inquiries she had made and was rejected considering her age. DataTrained saw an opportunity and is now not just training her, but also sponsored her Data Science 10 month education. A course that most of the graduates/engineers find difficult to learn.

As per Janardan Tiwari, CEO DataTrained, “Access to quality learning in emerging technologies has always been a challenge to most of the demographics of the Indian subcontinent. DataTrained aim is to shorten this curve and make quality professional education accessible to all. Nurturing talent has always been the forte of DataTrained with no strings attached irrespective of colour, caste, creed, gender, religion, and age.”

He further added, “In a country where almost 80% of the Engineering graduates are unemployed, Likhita’s journey is an inspiring one and I am sure, this will propel our kids to think outside the school curriculum that is need of the hour.”

Founded in 2012 by Janardan Tiwari, Rashid Khan, and Abhinav Sinha, DataTrained is India’s leading Edtech player in the Higher Education segment.  They impart programs in emerging technologies like Data Science, Analytics, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Development, DevOps, Digital Marketing, Management, Engineering, and many more. These programs are well-received by professionals across the globe as well as by the students who want to start a promising career in these emerging technologies. The focus has always been on problem-solving approach guidance to the learners.

DataTrained has upskilled more than 2 Lac students in the last 5 years in 20+ countries across the world.
